After introducing the Facebook app for the Android users, Facebook App ever since facing so much problems. Facebook app have caused users a very bad battery performance for their battery life. Its not just the issue of battery life but it has also effected the performance of mobile devices as well.
When ever the users who have removed the Facebook App from their device, they certainly have witnessed a great improvement in the performance of device as well as a big change in the battery life. Even we have tried as well and there is a great improvement in the battery life.
Facebook’s chief product officer, Chris Cox took a great initiative of forcing all the workers in the Facebook headquarter to shift their device to Android so that they can have a deeper look inside the problem and find a good solution for such bad performance of Facebook App on Android devices but the problem is still there.
Russell Holly who is well known Android blogger starting a chain reaction to quit the Facebook App which resulted with very interesting facts about the Facebook App’s performance. Prompted by Holly’s revelation that life on Android was better without Facebook’s app, Reddit user pbrandes_eth tested the app’s impact on the performance of an LG G4.
The result of such chain reactions are very interesting as we remove the Facebook App and Facebook Messenger from the device it increases about 15 to 20% of battery life and increases mobile performance as well. Mobile performance can be checked without such apps as all other applications open quit early as compare to have Facebook App on your device.
A Facebook spokesperson said: “We have heard reports of some people experiencing speed issues stemming from our Android app. We are looking into this and will keep you posted. We are committed to continuing to improve these issues.”
For an alternate to the Facebook’s App we can use Facebook on Chrome in our Android device with some latest updates which have enabled notifications for actions, chats and other features from Facebook even in the background, meaning the experience is very similar to using an app.
